Athletics Carnival

What a brilliant day for an athletics carnival! Thank you to all the children that had fun and tried their best, and the parents that helped on each event. I hope you enjoy looking at some of the students in action :)

Beenleigh District Athletics Championship Day 2013

Today, four students from Mother Teresa represented Beenleigh District Division D at the Beenleigh District Athletics Championship Day. These four students were in the top 12 athletes selected for their respective events from over 10,000 students in our district. They all recorded personal best performances, and did a marvellous job at representing our Division and our school. Well Done!

Bella was selected for the 11 year old Girls Shot Put.
She placed 10th with a PB of 6.01m

Ethan was selected in the 100 & 200m events. He placed
8th in both events, beating the students he competed
against at the Division D District Carnival.

Jayden was selected for the 11 year old boys shot put,
high jump, 800m and 100m. He recorded a PB in all
of his events, placing 9th in the 800m, 8th in shot put,
5th in high jump and 7th in the 100m.

Tiah was selected for the 10 year old girls shot put.
She placed 6th and recorded a PB of 5.47m.

More action from District Athletics

District Athletics!!

Congratulations!

Our District Athletics Team did an amazing job today representing our school. Not only were we the smallest school at the carnival, but we showed the big schools what sportsmanship is all about. Mother Teresa came 6th place outright, and narrowly missed out on 1st place on percentage points by a tiny 2 points! Well Done to the whole team for your hard work today, and your dedication for attending training sessions before school, and giving up your lunch breaks. 4 students will now be representing our division at the Championships day on Thursday. Jayden will be going for Shot Put, 800m, 100m and High Jump; Bella and Tiah for shot put; and Ethan for 100m and 200m. We wish you all the best for Thursday :)
