District Athletics!!
Congratulations!
Our District Athletics Team did an amazing job today representing our school. Not only were we the smallest school at the carnival, but we showed the big schools what sportsmanship is all about. Mother Teresa came 6th place outright, and narrowly missed out on 1st place on percentage points by a tiny 2 points! Well Done to the whole team for your hard work today, and your dedication for attending training sessions before school, and giving up your lunch breaks. 4 students will now be representing our division at the Championships day on Thursday. Jayden will be going for Shot Put, 800m, 100m and High Jump; Bella and Tiah for shot put; and Ethan for 100m and 200m. We wish you all the best for Thursday :)Mrs Coutts

District Athletics Carnival
The District Athletics Carnival is fast approaching. Mother Teresa will be offering before school coaching to students who are wanting to participate in the District Carnival.(for students turning ten years or older this year). I will be guiding the students through each of the track and field events, teaching them the correct technique, and giving them plenty of opportunity to develop their skills.
Sessions will begin this Wednesday from 7.45am- 8.15am, meeting on the oval. Please ensure that students have appropriate footwear. It is a good idea to wear an old shirt and shorts, and bring along a school uniform to change into. Some students are also very hungry after a training session, so a piece of fruit, or healthy snack to eat after training would be wonderful.
I look forward to seeing you tomorrow morning!

Thank you for a great singing performance from year 1 at the assembly on Friday (June 14, 2013)! They sang the Indonesian song superbly!
Thank you for an amazing dance performance from year 4/5. They danced a traditional Indonesian dance, Manuk Dadali. The dance was about an eagle, the national symbol of Indonesia. The eagle represents the unity and strength of the nation.

After School Sports
We would love to find out what sports you would like to participate in after school this year. Most sports run for 8-10 weeks, and cost approximately $10 a session. Last year we ran Auskick, Net Set Go, and Milo Cricket, all which came with great sports specific packs of goodies! This year we are also considering Optus Small Sided Football (soccer).
To help us get the programs up and running, which sports would you like to see after school this year, and how many children would be joining in?

District Swimming Carnival 2013
Congratulations to our awesome Mother Teresa All Star District Swimming Team!
They did an amazing job today, competing against much bigger schools, they showed that sportsmanship, trying your best, and supporting your team mates certainly pays off. I am very proud of all you!
A big Thank you as well to all the parents that took the time off from their busy day to come and support our wonderful students. Great job to the team Manager Maxine, for keeping the kids organised, and ready for their events.
Well Done!
